CHAUFFEUR
You can be collected from any airport by our very reasonable and reliable chauffeur service. Unlike everywhere else we do not add commission but arrange this for our guests as it is simply the best way to come into town. You pay the driver direct by cash or card.
Just ask and we will gladly arrange this service for you and revert with full instructions. For two people it is half the price of the train/cab option…… and door to door.
PADDINGTON EXPRESS
Every 15 minutes (£25) from Heathrow Airport to Paddington main Station
(a) taxi from the station (8 mins) costs around £8.00 or
(b) No.23 bus from outside station to Colville Road then walk (1 min)
GATWICK EXPRESS
Every 15 minutes (£22) from Gatwick Airport to Victoria Station
(a) taxi around £14 or
(b) underground (circle or district line ) to Nottinghill Gate or
(c) No. 52 from station (25 mins) Portobello Road stop then walk (4mins)
UNDERGROUND
Notting Hill Gate approx. 8 mins walk (central, circle and district lines)
Ladbroke Grove approx. 10 minutes walk (Hammersmith and City)
BUSES
No rush to get there… bus is the way to go in London:
sit at the top for great views of the city as you travel through it and we have several
excellent services on the doorstep: 23, 27, 7, 328, 70, 12, 31, 94 & 52
A travel pass for both the bus and tube is essential and easily available from any underground and most newsagents enabling you to get on and off as many buses or tubes as you like without running out or having to top up.
We advise the weekly pass for Zone 1 & 2 (only) for bus and tube. Even for stays of only 4 days it is the most economical and the most efficient way to get around.
SANTANDER BIKES
Free for the first half hour (30 seconds from our door) or £2 for 24 hours
fantastic way to get around a bike-friendly city through parks, along canals etc
